As the largest agricultural city in Guangdong, Maoming has abundant resources and high-quality materials for moon cake production. There are nearly 100 varieties, accounting for 80 percent of the varieties of moon cakes in Guangdong province.

The moon cakes in Maoming are divided into two categories, salty and sweet. The fillings are made with a variety of foods such as nuts, meat, coconuts, fruits, jams and vegetables.

Toluo moon cake has a history of more than 1,300 years. The reason for its unique flavor is due to its special production process and ingredients. It is made with high-quality flour, shredded coconut, barbecued pork, Wuren, sesame seeds and other ingredients. Bakers use a special formula to refine the crust before wrapping, printing, and baking the cake. Toluo moon cake has a golden hue, a crisp texture, and a delectable aroma. It also tastes wonderful.
