In the past, abandoned cars and shared bicycles occupied road resources on Gaoling Middle Road, which affected traffic and the street's appearance. Maoming has stepped up efforts to manage the issue of random and excessive parking of shared bicycles, notifying the administrators of shared bicycle companies to strengthen the management and punishment of this issue. The city's urban management department has also added more than 200 bicycle parking spaces, as well as correspondingly added motor vehicle parking spaces.

Maoming also punished the act of posting small advertisements indiscriminately on this road section, as well as carried out special rectification on this behavior of businesses distributing leaflets through in-person interviews, warnings, as well as collecting leaflets. Six cases of random posting of small advertisements were punished subsequently.
