Maoming Forest Park was recently selected as one of the 11 units to be designated a 2022 Guangdong Forester Green Park.

A forester green park refers to a forest manager system demonstration park that serves as an example for forest chiefs at all levels to improve the forest quality in the areas. They are responsible for strengthening organizational leadership, scientific greening, resource management and care, as well as deepening institutional reform.

"Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" is a saying that has been driving environmental improvement policies across the country, with Guangdong's forester green park designation demonstrating the effectiveness of the work of the province's comprehensive implementation of its forest chief scheme.

Maoming Forest Park is located in the western suburbs of Maoming, only 12 kilometers from the city. It covers a total area of 4,500 mu (300 hectares) and is the first provincial forest park in Maoming.

The park has a 1,000 mu demonstration base of precious tree species and nearly 2,000 mu of natural ecological forests. It also includes 500 mu of scientific and technological demonstration forests, pine gardens, and memorial forest gardens for tourists to visit, which has attracted many visitors to the park. In 2018, Maoming Forest Park was designated a provincial environmental education base.

By combining forest protection measures with animal preservation efforts, Maoming Forest Park has created an all-in-one park for tourism, sightseeing, recreation, and entertainment.
