Recently, Xinyi's Sanyue plums ripened and were transported to the markets. The market price of Sanyue plums stands at 4 ($0.5) to 6 yuan per kilogram.

Xinyi is the national leading city for Sanhua plum production. Its scale of production is about 350,000 mu (23,333 hectares) and production areas are found in more than 10 different towns.

Qianpai, Dasan and Hongguan towns mainly produce Yinfei plums, which enter the market between May and June. Baishi, Pingtang and Heshui towns mainly produce Sanyue plums, which enter the market between March and April.

In recent years, Sanyue plums have become a consumer favorite in many southern provinces and regions. It is also a popular fruit in KTV and bar settings.

When the plum harvest ends in March, Sanhua plums enter the market. From March to mid or late April, Xinyi Sanyue plums continue to mature.
