In recent years, Yuanba village in Genzi town, Gaozhou, a county-level city in Maoming, has been promoting rural vitalization.

Yuanba village is located in the core lychee plant area in Maoming, which is the largest lychee forest in the world. The Xiaodong River also passes around the village.

The village has been developing its tourism industry based around lychees. It receives about 1.5 million tourists per year. It is rated as a national forest village and has one of the first 20 beautiful rural quality lines in Guangdong province.

It has a history of lychee cultivation that dates back over 2,000 years and of longan meat production that is over 500 years. It is a lychee specialized village, a longan meat processing village, and an e-commerce village, which has increased farmers' incomes and promoted rural vitalization.
