Several Maoming-based companies signed cooperation agreements worth more than $50 million at the 133rd Canton Fair.

The 133rd Canton Fair, the largest trade fair in history, was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, from April 15 to 24. It attracted the attention and participation of enterprises from around the world.

A total of 44 Maoming-based companies joined the fair with various goods, including food, household appliances, household bedding and sporting goods. The number of booths in the Maoming section of the fair increased from 56 to 62.

The Maoming municipal bureau of commerce paid more attention to the 133rd Canton Fair. Staff workers from the bureau held policy publicity activities for enterprises in order to assist them in seizing this opportunity to enter the international market.

Guangdong Xinqi Electric Appliance Technology participated in this year's Canton Fair for the first time. "Our company participated in the fair mainly to see the new developments in the industry, and to better understand the market. Over the last two days, our booth received more than 40 people, and many merchants expressed the intention of sending us samples," said Lin Xin, the company's chairman.

Guangdong Xinqi Electrical Technology mainly sells electric clay ovens, air fryers, milk frothers and pressure cookers. At the beginning of this year, this company invested more than 10 million yuan ($1.4 million) into Dianbai district for new product research and development.

"I'm looking forward to meeting more new customers at this year's Canton Fair," said Liang Song, manager of Guangdong Songtao Landscape Gardening.

Since 1998, Guangdong Songtao Landscape Gardening has produced all kinds of imitation trees, imitation flowers, garden rockery, and best-selling gardening products. The company moved to Dianbai district in 2020.

Gaozhou Qifan Lighting Technology displayed a number of new LED products at the fair, including bulbs, plant lights and night lights. "This is our company's first time attending the Canton Fair, and our booth has received more than 100 guests over the past few days. As a national-level high-tech enterprise that moved back to Gaozhou in 2020, we hope to expand in the global market through the Canton Fair platform," said Liang Bogang, head of the company.

Gaozhou Qifan Lighting Technology was established in 2020. It is a national high-tech enterprise that integrates the research and development, production, and sale of LED lamps. It has independent import and export rights, as well as an integrated factory. The factory has 18 patents and is able to develop new products according to customers' requirements. Additionally, its products have been exported to countries such as the United States, Canada and Australia.
