After three hours of live streaming, about 200,000 orders of lychees were achieved. Just five minutes into the broadcast, the studio achieved 10,000 orders of lychees, and the number of people watching the live stream exceeded 50,000 at its peak.

One order of Maoming Guiwei lychees is about 9 kilograms and costs about 65.55 yuan ($9.11). These lychees will all be delivered via cold-chain distribution.

Zhong Sheng, head of the Maoming Comprehensive Experimental Station of the National Lychee and Longan Industrial Technology System, joined the live stream with two anchors to publicize the science around lychee cultivation to the viewers and introduced Maoming's current lychee industry.

Maoming is the world's largest lychee production base. In 2023, Maoming's lychee planting area exceeded 1.39 million mu (92,666 hectares), with more than 80 varieties cultivated, and its total output reaching 630,000 metric tons. One out of every five lychees in the world is produced in Maoming, which is why it is known as the "hometown of lychees".
