A villager named Li Sheng said that in recent years, Qianpai town's e-commerce sales have become very strong. Not only has the town become host to a raft of network live-streaming anchors, but also many people from other places go there to sell Sanhua plums online.
At present, there are 18 fleets of trucks involved in Sanhua plum transportation in Qianpai town, with routes spread out to major cities in the country. Each team leaves at a variety of times, to ensure that the plums are resent fresh to other destinations.
Villagers in Qianpai town have increased their incomes by growing the crop. "The Sanhua plums I planted last year earned about 500,000 yuan ($69,514). This year's harvest has increased and the income should be close to 600,000 yuan," said villager Liu Jinrui.
In the Sanhua plum ripening season, the laborers mainly head to Qianpai town to work. They're engaged in picking, transportation, sorting and packaging.
The daily income of the workers comes out to more than 100 to 600 yuan, while the monthly income is 4,000 to 10,000 yuan. Each year, Qianpai is home to a labor force of some 15,000 strong, involved in the plum picking and processing business.
