Maoming has taken multiple measures to promote the online sales of its lychees.

On May 19, the first Guangdong (Maoming) Lychee E-commerce Consumption Festival and the third China Lychee and Longan Industry Conference were held.

An online exhibition platform for high-quality agricultural products in Maoming was also launched, and a preparatory group for the Maoming Cross-border E-commerce Service Center was established.

At the lychee e-commerce sales event, 462 people from 111 teams participated. On that day, they sold 27,000 lychee products through live streaming, hitting sales revenue of 3.75 million yuan. During the 30-day lychee online marketing competition, 1,060 people from 312 teams participated, with an estimated sales revenue of 160 million yuan.

Many districts in Maoming have also held online sales activities for this popular fruit.

The Gaozhou Lychee Production and Sales Matchmaking Conference attracted nearly 90 purchasers from all over the country, with intended contracts totaling 450 million yuan. In Dianbai, eight enterprises purchased 3,000 metric tons of lychees during various sales activities.

Maoming has also created a customized online sales model for lychees. Once someone has 'bought' a tree, they can come and pick the ripe lychees from it with the help of local staff, or have the lychees delivered to their doorstep.

Maoming has already sold 31,884 customized lychee trees weighing 1,594.2 tons this year.

Maoming has also been holding lychee export and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) policy promotional conferences to encourage more companies to export lychees overseas.

This year, the export volume of lychees from Maoming increased by 30 percent compared to the previous year, with exports heading to more than 20 countries and regions.
