From July 13 to 14, more than 20 Hong Kong entrepreneurs visited Maoming, with several companies expressing their intention to cooperate with the city.

These entrepreneurs visited Maoming Liutao Jewelry Creative Industry Park, Maoming Open-pit Mine Ecological Park and the China Lychee Expo Center. They also watched promotional videos, participated in forums, and consulted with the relevant departments to learn more about Maoming's business environment.

They said Maoming offered developed convenient transportation, and obvious regional advantages, as well as ample development space, a favorable investment environment, and a comprehensive infrastructure.

Yang Kaishan, chairman of the Hong Kong Commerce and Industry Associations, said they will bring back information about Maoming to Hong Kong and attract more entrepreneurs from the region to invest in Maoming.

In addition, many entrepreneurs were interested in Maoming's "five trees, one fish, and one table of dishes" model. The five trees refer to lychees, longans, agarwood, Exocarpium citri grandis (also known as Huajuhong, a tree used in traditional Chinese medicine), and Sanhua plums. The one fish refers to tilapia, while the one table of dishes refers to the pre-prepared dishes industry.

"I'm interested in Maoming's pre-prepared dishes industry," said Fang Zihao, chairman of Hong Kong Cheer Century. He added that Maoming has abundant agricultural products and much potential to further develop its pre-prepared dishes industry.

Maximizing the strong policy support, outstanding transportation, resources, and regional advantages on offer, the company hopes to collaborate with enterprises in Maoming to explore the international market for pre-prepared dishes.
