Zhou Yuxiu and Zhang Peixin swept gold in the women's double rowing event at the Chengdu FISU World University Games on Aug 6.

They clocked a time of 7 minutes and 31.86 seconds to pocket the title. This is the first gold medal won by a Chinese rowing team at the Chengdu FISU World University Games to date.

Zhou said after the match that she felt very fortunate to have been able to participate in the competition.
