Shuixia Road, a major public works project in Dianbai county, Guangdong's Maoming city, opened for traffic on Aug 22.

The construction of the route started in September 2020, with a total investment of 590 million yuan ($81 million), and it was designed according to first-class highway standards.

As an important thoroughfare, Shuixia Road will play a crucial role in connecting the southwest and northeast regions of Dianbai.

It links Dianbai and Mata high-speed rail stations, providing interconnections between railway and road transportation to accommodate the increasing traffic demand.

The opening of Shuixia Road will facilitate the transportation connections for towns along the route, such as Lintou and Xiadong towns, providing more convenience for the lives and work of residents.

Additionally, it will promote economic development along the route, improve the transportation network and drive the integrated development of the eastern and western parts of Dianbai.

In recent years, Dianbai has been committed to large-scale transportation infrastructure construction, with the goal of boosting urban development and improving people's lives.

By accelerating the construction of a modern and comprehensive transportation system, Dianbai aims to forge better connections with surrounding cities.
