Maoming city is comprehensively carrying out economic tasks to boost regional development and rural vitalization.

Seizing the opportunities created by the Pearl River Delta, Maoming has identified the development direction for its green chemical, new materials, and new energy industries. This action was done in a bid to attract more industrial projects.

Currently, 22 new projects have been introduced, with a total planned investment of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.37 billion).

Maoming is also accelerating infrastructure construction and promoting the construction of its key transportation projects.

It has increased policy support for its key projects and industrial investments. In the second half of the year, Maoming is scheduled to speed up the development of 65 manufacturing projects worth 100 million yuan each and 150 industrial technology transformation projects.

Maoming is also promoting consumption upgrades and agricultural development in its food processing industry. Maoming plans to sell a number of mooncakes and other special commodity sales, consolidating the automobiles, household appliances, and catering.

Additionally, construction on the national fishing port economic zone in Maoming's Binhai New Area commenced on Aug 16, marking a crucial milestone in the establishment of top-notch marine ranches.
