Maoming's tourism industry received 2.62 million visitors during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, a year-on-year increase of 60.59 percent. The total revenue reached 1.48 billion yuan ($203 million), showing a surge of 72.2 percent compared to last year.

Cultural venues in the area received 142,700 visitors, while cultural entertainment venues received 190,000 visitors.

Rural tourism remains at the forefront of this sector in Maoming, as infrastructure and product systems for rural tourism continue to improve.

During this holiday, popular tourist attractions such as Youchengxu in Jintang town, Maonan district, the Fairy Cave Natural Scenic Area in Shenzhen town, and Genzi Baiqiao village in Gaozhou city have attracted numerous visitors.

At the same time, coastal tourism in Maoming continues to flourish, with attractions such as Nanhai Island, Danjiaxu, and Youfu City attracting a large number of travelers. Maoming's coastal tourism sector received 633,300 visitors during the holiday, a substantial surge of 25.9 percent compared to the previous year.
