Concrete pouring began on the ballastless track of Guowu village No1 Bridge along the Maoming section of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway on Oct 30, marking the start of main construction on the track.

The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway, also known as the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang passenger dedicated line, is a high-speed railway connecting the cities of Guangzhou and Zhanjiang in Guangdong province. It is an important part of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network.

The railway starts from Guangzhou Station and passes through Foshan, Zhaoqing, Yunfu, Yangjiang, Maoming, and Zhanjiang before terminating at Zhanjiang North Station. The total length of the line is approximately 401 kilometers, and it is designed with a maximum speed of 350 km per hour.

The concrete pouring on this occasion is for the base plate of a ballastless track with two tracks, measuring 2.8 meters in width and 0.21 meters in height.

Construction on the ballastless track for the eighth section of the Guangzhan Railway covers a single-line distance of 110 km. It is designed as a China Railway Track Systern (CRTS) I-type double-block ballastless track, an advanced track technology known for its structural stability, long service life, and low maintenance cost.

The subsequent construction of the Maoming section of the Guangzhan High-speed Railway will mainly focus on manufacturing, transportation, beam placement, and laying of the ballastless track.
