In recent years, Maoming's Dianbai district has been working to enhance and expand its flavor and fragrance (F&F) sector.

On Nov 24, Guangzhou Minghua F&F Company signed an agreement with Dianbai district to establish an incense refining flavor and fragrance manufacturing project. This project has a total investment of approximately 140 million yuan ($19.65 million), and is located in the Dianbai agarwood modern agriculture industrial park. It aims to accelerate the development of the city's flavor and fragrance industry cluster.

Dianbai district is home to over 140 locally registered F&F enterprises, all of which generate an annual output value of about 2 billion yuan. Shenzhen Boton Group, China's first listed F&F company, is expected to complete the first phase of its Boton Industrial Park project by the end of this year. This park is expected to have an annual output value of nearly 1 billion yuan and provide more than 1,000 job opportunities.

The district's F&F sector is already mature in terms of production technology, research and development, and quality. In 2022, five of Dianbai's F&F enterprises entered China's top 10 F&F enterprises list, with Huabao International, Boton Group, and Minghua Flavor and Fragrance ranking in the top three.

From January to October, Dianbai district achieved an output value of 334 million yuan through its F&F sector.
