During the 2024 Spring Festival period, Maoming city held a series of cultural and tourism activities, creating a strong festive atmosphere and allowing residents and tourists to celebrate the Spring Festival joyfully.

Maoming received a total of 3.6 million tourists during this holiday, an increase of 68.5 percent compared to 2023 and a 37.7 percent increase compared to 2019. Throughout the holiday period, Maoming achieved a tourism income of 3.29 billion yuan ($457 million), marking a 160 percent increase from the 2023 Spring Festival and a 37.93 percent increase from the 2019 Spring Festival.

Maoming organized a series of colorful cultural and tourism activities, including the Maoming characteristic market intangible cultural heritage parade, intangible heritage performances, and folk culture parades. These activities allowed tourists to experience and participate in the local cultural traditions up close, promoting the display of Maoming's characteristic market agricultural products, industrial development, rural vitalization, and the integration of cultural tourism.

Furthermore, Maoming's artistic performances attracted many residents and tourists, such as the Miguchao music festival and the Spring Festival artistic evening, enabling people to experience the charm of art. The scenic area activities were also diverse, including light and fireworks festivals, temple fairs, and water bamboo pole performances, attracting numerous families to come and experience.
