Maoming is poised to host the 2024 Maoming Marathon on March 24, with the starting point set at First Beach Square in China. The route map has been unveiled, showcasing picturesque scenery that has attracted participants and spectators.

The race is scheduled to commence from First Beach Square, known as the "Oriental Hawaii" for its beauty. Runners are expected to experience the clear sea water and expansive beaches along the coastal greenway.

The finish line for the mini marathon is set in Youfucheng, the actual filming location for the TV drama "Madam Qiao's Republic," exuding a rich cultural atmosphere.

The route also passes through Tangxia Li Nationality Street in Danjiaxu, evoking a sense of traveling back to an ancient fishing village. Participants can enjoy beautiful sea views and mangrove forests at the Gemeihai Park and Shuidong Bay green path. Shuidong Bay Marine Park is a coastal leisure destination integrating ecology, tourism, sports, and education, serving as a popular spot for citizens to relax and play.

In the middle and later stages of the race, the route will cross the Shuidong Bay Bridge, which has connected coastal tourism resources since its opening on April 30, 2021, forming a distinctive coastal tourism ecological corridor.

The route will also pass through the Maoming section of the Guangdong Coastal Tourist Road, offering beautiful coastal scenery.

Finally, participants will reach Xige Beach, the beach closest to the sea along the route. Known for its "most beautiful sunset sea view," it sets to serve as the turning point for the full marathon runners before they head back to the finish line.
