On May 11, the press conference for the China's 8th lychee and longan industry conference was held in Maoming, Guangdong. The conference, titled "Homeland of Lychee: Embracing the New," will take place on May 20. 

The conference aims to boost high-quality development through the discussion of new ideas, modernize the industry through innovative practices, and support rural vitalization. Attendees include national agricultural authorities, industry representatives, and media.

The event will promote eco-friendly practices through hands-on experiences, with participant to plant greenery together and explore local specialties. On May 20, a lychee matchmaking event will connect buyers with Maoming producers. 

Various activities are planned, including a collective wedding event, cultural performances, a cycling competition on May 19, and a lychee-themed caravan festival. 

The conference will focus on technological innovation, expanding income sources through industry updates, opening new market avenues through branding, and enhancing rural identity through cultural initiatives.
