On June 16, the 2024 Maoming " I Love Lychee" Road Cycling Open Race took place in Genzi town, Gaozhou. This event attracted over 400 cycling enthusiasts from across China, who came together to compete and showcase their skills.

Riders navigated through the scenic areas of Genzi town, culminating in the recognition of champions across various categories. The winners praised the challenging course, the beautiful landscapes, and the warm hospitality from local villagers.

"This is my first time in hometown of lychee, and I'm thrilled to have won the Men's Open A group. The course was tough but scenic, and the villagers' cheers were very motivating," said Xu Hang, champion of Men's Open A group.

The event fostered sports and cultural exchanges in Maoming, promoting a "sports + tourism" development model. It also supported local tourism and showcased Maoming's natural beauty and rich history.
