Maoming, as a key player in western Guangdong, is seizing the opportunities presented by the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link to integrate into the development circle of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

With the completion of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, travel from Maoming to Shenzhen no longer requires detours through Guangzhou or Dongguan, making it more convenient for residents to travel back and forth.

As a result, the city is creating a prime location that attracts industries from the GBA.

It is set to leverage the planned construction of three provincial-level parks in Maoming, Maonan, and Gaozhou, covering a total area of approximately 61.58 square kilometers, to undertake industrial transfers from the GBA.

The attraction of investment is expected to revolve around its key industries, particularly in green chemical engineering, new materials, and new energy.

Furthermore, Maoming is committed to enhancing services to ensure high-quality projects are well developed. With over 32,000 mu (2,133 hectares) of reserve land in industrial parks across the city, Maoming has introduced a series of favorable policies to support enterprises, including land support, factory incentives, fixed investment rewards, and talent recruitment.

The city, with its rich tourism resources, is creating a tourism demonstration belt that integrates pastoral scenery, marine charm, rural life, and natural ecology. With the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, Maoming hopes to attract more tourists.
