The 2024 Focus on New Guangdong at Sea Cooperation and Exchange Event is scheduled at the Romantic Beach in Maoming from Nov 12 to 14.
The event, themed "New Guangdong at Sea: Beautiful Beaches", is set to focus on beach resource protection and restoration, as well as the development of the marine economy. It aims to foster in-depth exchanges and discussions, contributing wisdom and strength to the future development of the new Guangdong at sea.
Leaders, experts, and representatives from the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Ministry of Natural Resources, marine affairs departments from Hong Kong and Macao, Malaysian national marine experts, along with various relevant units from Guangdong province, are anticipated to gather to exchange research findings and practical experiences. These discussions are set to engage in-depth discussions on marine protection, restoration, and sustainable development.
Participants are scheduled to visit Maoming's unique marine landscapes, including the Shuidong Bay Marine Park, China's First Beach, and Yanjing Ridge. This visit will provide an opportunity to observe mangrove ecological restoration and the comprehensive protection of beaches and coastlines. Furthermore, the delegation will examine rural vitalization efforts in Danjiaxu (Li Street), allowing them to witness the active implementation of marine protection and development initiatives.
