The main structure of the new Maoming Maternal and Child Health Hospital was topped out on Oct 29.

The new hospital, a key project in Maoming, covers an area of 67,259.46 square meters with a total construction area of 139,990 sq m and an investment of approximately 1.2 billion yuan ($167.7 million).

It will feature an outpatient and health complex, obstetrics and gynecology building, pediatrics building, teaching and information center, infection building, fever clinic, and supporting facilities, providing 1,200 beds upon completion. This project aims to improve the medical environment and meet the healthcare needs of the local population, enhancing Maoming’s healthcare services and promoting high-quality development in maternal and child health.

At the topping-out ceremony, the project manager from China Construction Eighth Engineering Division expressed their commitment to ensuring the project's safe, efficient, and high-quality construction. The Maoming Development Group emphasized that the topping-out is just the beginning, with upcoming tasks including interior decoration, equipment installation, and system testing.

The completion of the main structure of the Maoming Maternal and Child Health Hospital paves the way for the next phase of construction and the eventual provision of comprehensive healthcare services to the community.
