The 2024 Maoming Hiking took place on Dec 7, featuring the theme "Vibrant Maoming, Marching Forward". The event, held in Maoming New City, attracted thousands of people.

It featured three walking routes. The Maoming New City route started at the Maoming School Affiliated to Guangdong Experimental High School and passed through key landmarks such as the Civic Center, Olympic Sports Center, and Panzhou Avenue, ended at Pan Maoming Memorial Park Temple Street stretching about 15 kilometers. Participants enjoyed the scenic views and the vibrant atmosphere of the Maoming New City, getting a glimpse of Maoming's rapid development and urban vitality.

In addition to the main event, sub-events were held in Xinyi and Gaozhou, where participants walked through scenic landscapes and modern urban areas, experiencing the city's charm and vitality. The event also included interactive zones with performances, sports activities, and public welfare exhibitions, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The Maoming Hiking has become a major cultural and sports event in Maoming. It showcases Maoming's achievements in urban development and its commitment to improving the quality of life for its residents.
