The Yugang Park is located at the northern end of the Xiashan Sightseeing Corridor. To the west lies the Ocean Hotel, to the east the Zhanjiang Port, to the south the Haiyang Road, and to the north lies the base of the South China Sea Fleet.

The park, covering an area of about 200,000 square meters, is a coastal park focusing on aquatic entertainment activities in downtown Zhanjiang. The park is designed to highlight the fishing port culture in the Leizhou Peninsula.

Walking on the fine, soft sands and touched by the gentle breeze, its a feast for your eyes, with blue seas and dancing coconut trees making up a beautiful landscape picture. The bathing beach in the Yugang Park is the most popular resort among the local residents. Visitors can lay cozily in the beach chairs under the shadow of big parasols, and pleasantly enjoy the charming scenery of the blue sea, the white sandy beach and the lush coconut trees. The seaside bathing resort opens from 8:00 to 19:00 every day (this might be subject to changes). But the resort will be closed in bad weather when winds exceed the fifth level or the waves exceed one meter.
