Zhanjiang has two music genres. One is the Leizhou song performance and the other is the Anpu instrumental music performance and Wuchuan pottery drum.

Leizhou Song

Leizhou song is very common and popular on the Leizhou Peninsula. It is mostly improvised and uses local dialect.

Anpu Bayin

Bayin is a general term for the ancient Chinese musical instrument. The Anpu Bayin is a very popular musical instrument performance art in the ancient town of Anpu. It has a history of more than 80 years, and is usually performed by a band of 21 people during the Lantern and Dragon Boat festivals.
