Brovary is the second largest city in the state of Kiev, just 12 kilometers from Kiev city, capital of Ukraine. It is an industrial city with prosperous commerce and an abundant labor force.

Brovary covers an area of 3,400 hectares and has a population of 97,192. The average monthly per capita income is about $600.

Brovary is a member of the Ukraine Cities Alliance. Eight cities have established sister city ties with Brovary, such as Roosevelt in the USA, Slutsk in White Russia and Tonala in Mexico.

The city has a mild temperature zone land climate. Historical records show that temperature ranges from 6.3 C to 19.5 C.

The city enjoys convenient transportation with multiple railways and expressways. A double-track railway runs through the city. There is also an international railway and an international expressway connecting the city with Russia and Western Europe. Brovary is also an air transport hub with two major airports.

Brovary has four pillar industries, including metallurgy, chemical engineering, food processing and light industry. There are 39 large enterprises in the city.
