The Zhanjiang delegation led by Party secretary Zheng Renhao reviewed the work report delivered by provincial governor Ma Xingrui during the 1st session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, on Jan 25 at the Guangdong Hotel.

This year's work report is both realistic and pragmatic, as it not only displays the progress of 2017 through statistics, but also maps out a blueprint for the upcoming year of 2018 in a most motivating and scientific manner, said Party secretary Zheng.

Furthermore, Zheng added that Guangdong province has shown great foresight by maintaining its central government conferred strategic position and will seek further prosperity in sync with the nation's overall development, and as will Zhanjiang.

According to Zheng, both the country and province have attached great importance to Zhanjiang in recent years. They have given the city unprecedented support in terms of industries, ecology and transport, which in turn has created fantastic opportunities for Zhanjiang's development.

In return, Zhanjiang pledges to follow the party's guidance and upholp the spirit of the CPC's 19th National Congress. It will strive to create a favorable business environment for investment and entrepreneurship while constructing a transparent, incorruptible and efficient government committed to improving social harmony and stability.

Yu Yanhong, Zhang Guohua, Li Yangchun, Lin Haiwu, He Shaoqing and other members of the delegation fully agreed on the report. A great number of suggestions were made by them on regional development, real economy, countryside rejuvenation as well as the construction of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Passenger-Dedicated Line.

Also attending the conference were Shi Kehui, a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Zhao Donghua, a member of the Law Committee of the National People's Congress.
