Zhanjiang gymnast wins gold at Asian Games 2018

Zhanjiang athlete Liu Tingting shared in the country's 12th straight title in the Artistic Gymnastics Women's Team event at the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, on Aug 22 along with teammates Chen Yile, Luo Huan, Zhang Jin and Liu Jinru.

China presented strong performances in all four categories of uneven bars, horst vault, balance beam and floor exercise, and pocketed the gold with 165.25 points.

North Korea placed second with a score of 157.35 points and Japan came third with 157.15 points.

According to Qiao Liang, head coach of the Chinese team, the victory cannot be set apart from the team spirit of the five athletes who are on a long-term quest for medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
