Cardholders need to click the "Pay" button on the frontpage of "Alipay" and scan the "Transport Code" by placing it in front of the payment machine when they board a bus. A voice can be heard once the machine recognizes the code.

In collaboration with UnionPay, the country's largest bankcard payment processor, Zhanjiang buses also offer payment solutions ranging from flash payment cards and QuickPass bankcards to QR code payment options.
Passengers can put UnionPay flash payment cards on this terminal. ApplePay, SamsungPay, HuaweiPay, and MiPay can be used with smartphones or wearables like watches and electronic bracelets.
Alternatively, they can download the “UnionPay Cloud Quick Pass” app and link their bankcard to their account. The app can generate QR codes that deduct bus fares after being scanned.
Those with a QuickPass bankcard need only to tap their card near the reading area of compatible point-of-sale (POS) terminals to complete payment.
