Leizhou, a county-level city in Zhanjiang, was selected as one of the 2018 China Rural Boot Areas for Integrated Development of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Industries by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Other Guangdong entrants include Puning, a county-level city in Jieyang; Nanxiong, a county-level city in Shaoguan; Zhaoqing's Gaoyao district; and Meizhou's Meixian district.
These areas are recognized as having mature integrated development modes and whole industrial chains worthy of being promoted across the country.
They will receive increased financial support in infrastructure construction, which covers water and power supply, transport, commutation, logistics, garbage disposal and sewage treatment, as well preferential policies in land use.
Meanwhile, more financial and social investments are expected to further develop the boot areas, spurred by the cooperation between government and social capital, government purchases, and subsidized loans.
