The AW119Kx and AW139, two star helicopter models, are poised to make a big impact at the 2018 China Marine Economy Expo in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province.

The 30-million-yuan ($4.3-million) AW119Kx, manufactured by Shanghai KingWing General Aviation Co Ltd, is a single-engined multi-use helicopter. Equipped with professional medical equipment, it can serve as a small aerial ICU and provide emergency medical services.

The model, which is designed with a maximum take-off weight of three tons, is able to fly farther and carry heavier payload compared to other helicopters with the same specifications.

Valued at 135 million yuan, the AW139 is a 15-seat medium-sized twin-engined helicopter produced principally by AgustaWestland. It is being marketed for several different roles, including VIP transport, offshore transport, firefighting, law enforcement, search and rescue, emergency medical service, disaster relief, and maritime patrol.

The helicopter has an all-weather and round-the-clock operational capability, and can be fitted into a warship. Hailed to be "presidential", it once carried the British Queen Elizabeth II into the venue of the London 2012 Olympic Games, and was chosen as the dedicated helicopter of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
