More bullet trains are expected to travel through Zhanjiang when a new national train schedule comes into effect on Jan 5, 2019, according to China Railway Guangzhou Group Co Ltd.

The new D7557/8 train will connect Zhanjiang West Railway Station with Foshan West Railway Station, while the D7497/8 and D7499/7500 trains will link Zhanjiang West Railway Station with Guangzhou South Railway Station.

The D7478 and D7474 trains will extend their terminus to Zhaoqing East Railway Station, allowing passengers to commute between the two cities by bullet train for the first time. Tickets for first-class and second-class seats will cost 390 yuan ($57) and 251.5 yuan, respectively.

The current G6127/8 train connecting the Changsha South and Zhanjiang West railway stations will be temporary cancelled.

Travelers are advised to check the new schedule in advance as the departure and arrival times of some trains will be adjusted.
