Ten self-service terminals co-developed by the Zhanjiang First Hospital of TCM and the Zhanjiang branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China were put into use at the aforementioned hospital on Jan 15.

Patients can now use their ID or social security cards to register, make appointments, pay bills, print invoices, make queries and print laboratory test reports at the terminals. Payments can be made with bank cards, social security cards, WeChat, or Alipay.

The self-service machines, marking an important step toward automation for the hospital, will greatly shorten queue times and increase efficiency.
