The Wushi Fishing Port was listed as one of the 10 Most Beautiful Fishing Ports in Guangdong Province, according to a public notice released by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province on March 13.

Located in Southwest Leizhou, the fishing port was built during the reign of Emperor Hongwu during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The port's name comes from the jet-black rocks along the 28-kilometer coastline on which it sits, and it is an important location for distributing commodities and taking shelter.

The list was compiled from self-recommendations, online votes, expert assessments, and working panel reviews. The other nine entries include Yangjiang's Chanpo, Maoming's Bohe, Guangzhou's Mt Lotus, Shantou's Yun'ao, Zhuhai's Wanshan, Shanwei, Yangjiang's Dongping, Huizhou's Wuliao, and Shantou's Haimen.
