Zhanjiang International Airport is a provincial-level key project addressed in Tangzhui town, Wuchuan, Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. The airport is 32 kilometers away from Zhanjiang, 38 kilometers away from Maoming city, 6.5 kilometers away from the G15 expressway toll station.

The length of the runway is expected to be 3,200 meters from northwest to southeast, and the station area is about 240,000 square meters, with 30 Class C positions. The flight zone level is 4C. The design area of the terminal building is 58,000 square meters. It is designed to meet the target of handling 5.1 million passengers in 2030 and 30,600 tons of cargo.

Zhanjiang International Airport is scheduled to be completed and put into use in 2020. Upon completion, it will become the third largest international airport in Guangdong province and also the only international airport in western Guangdong.

Zhanjiang International Airport will be more conducive to serving and enhancing western Guangdong and adjacent areas of Guangdong province and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, including Zhanjiang, Maoming and Yangjiang. This will help promote the flow of people, logistics and capital in these areas, and promote the integration and development of the economic circle of Zhanjiang, Maoming and Yangjiang.

The airport will help strengthen the connection and gather resources of western Guangdong. It will be a bridgehead between Guangdong and ASEAN and the entire world, playing an important role for the future opening up.
