BASF starts talent cultivation program in Zhanjiang

German chemical giant BASF held a job fair on Sept 17 to recruit talents for its new integration base project, which will be settled in Zhanjiang.

The BASF project in Zhanjiang is a comprehensive chemical production base featuring advanced technology, aiming at maximizing resources and energy efficiency, as well as reducing environmental impacts. An engineering plastic compounding plant and a thermoplastic polyurethane plant will be constructed as the first batch of installations, which are expected to be put into use in 2022.

The talent cultivation program of BASF will give participants the opportunity to rotate at, receive training, and solve challenging problems at BASF's various production sites in China. The development program will last for two years. The selected candidates will be provided with professional guidance and receive teaching from experienced experts, as well as be part of a tailored rotation development plan and receive systematic learning opportunities to help understand all aspects of engineering and production.

BASF will also conduct 2020 campus planning and recruitment promotion activities on its official website, WeChat public account, media channels, and through the Guangdong Petrochemical College.
