The first scientific and technological innovation and achievements exchange conference of China Merchants Port was held by China Merchants Port Holdings Co Ltd and Zhanjiang Port Co in Zhanjiang from Sept 19-20.

The exchange conference aimed to build a platform for scientific and technological innovation for the subsidiaries of China Merchants Port to promote the popularization and application of scientific and technological achievements, encourage the innovative spirit of scientific and technological research and development, as well as build a booster engine for science and technology. 

In addition to the 18 ports and related enterprises of Liaoning Port Group and China Merchants Port, more than 120 experts and scholars from Huawei, China Mobile, Wuhan University of Technology, PCITC, and China Baowu Steel Group were also invited to participate in the conference. Through project introductions, group discussions, and onsite observations, the conference showcased 43 domestic port and logistics technology innovation projects to the participants.
