The freighter Nordlion arrived at the Baoman Container Terminal at Zhanjiang Port on Sept 23. It was Evergreen Marine Corp's (EMC) first voyage between Zhanjiang, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand.

Zhanjiang Port and EMC have worked to expand the Southeast Asian shipping market to satisfy the rapid development needs of the freight and industrial chain, strengthen the interconnectedness of Asia, and introduce routes to popular ports in countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand to strengthen trade between southwest China, Zhanjiang, and Southeast Asia.

The new route employs three container ships with a capacity of 1,700-1,800 TEU. The route is as follows: Zhanjiang Port - Hong Kong Port - Shekou Port in Shenzhen - Ho Chi Minh Port in Vietnam - Sihanoukville Port in Cambodia - Laem Chabang Port in Thailand - Hong Kong Port - Haiphong Port in Vietnam - Qinzhou Port in Guangxi - Zhanjiang Port.

Zhanjiang Port and EMC will continue to introduce new routes to provide customers with more comprehensive and efficient shipping services and to promote the development of foreign trade in the city.
