A number of Zhanjiang elements were spotlighted in the 70 Years of Guangdong Football cultural exhibition, which was held at Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center on Oct 13, highlighting the outstanding contributions and important historical position that Zhanjiang has held in South Guangdong football.

A total of 600 photos and more than 300 exhibits were displayed at the exhibition, including many visual and text materials of football players from Zhanjiang.

According to the Zhanjiang bureau of culture, radio, film, tourism and sports, Zhanjiang football has a long history and is popular with the public. The city has trained a large number of football talents for Guangdong province and the country. Zhanjiang is now promoting youth football amateur training, campus football, and football venue construction, as well as supporting construction of related facilities.
