Chemical giant BASF announced its cooperation with the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University on Oct 17 to set up a clinic at its integrated base in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province.

BASF plans to build a new integrated production base in Zhanjiang. The first unit is expected to be commissioned in 2022. After completion, it will be BASF's third largest integrated production base in the world.

BASF will also promote medical exchanges between the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University, Zhanjiang Central People's Hospital, the clinic at BASF's headquarters in Ludwigshafen, and Cologne University Hospital in Germany, as well as support the improvement of medical services in Zhanjiang.

Medical technology experts from BASF's clinic in Germany and experts from the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University conducted professional seminars and first-aid exchanges from Oct 16-17. More personnel exchanges and technical exchange activities will be carried out in the future.
