Leizhou promotes urban transformation

The city of Leizhou in Zhanjiang, South China's Guangdong province plans to invest 90 million yuan ($12.81 million) to transform three parks and 496 million yuan to renovate the main streets of the city to improve its livable environment.

The reconstruction project of the three parks in Leizhou includes West Lake Park, South Lake Park, and Sanyuan Tower Park. The project is expected to be completed in 10 months and is planned to be opened before the 2020 Spring Festival. The project aims to build comprehensive cultural ecological parks that promote learning, fun, and public participation, enhancing the image of Leizhou as a national historical and cultural city, as well as promoting tourism development in the city.

In addition, four streets will be rebuilt and three new roads will be constructed. The project of the main roads in the downtown area is scheduled to be put into use before the 2020 Spring Festival.
