Seven production units of the Sino-Kuwait Integrated Refining project in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province has been handed over, marking an important step towards the completion of the project target by the end of the year.

The seven production units include a polypropylene plant with an annual output of 200,000 tons, a polypropylene plant with an annual output of 350,000 tons, an S-zorb catalytic gasoline adsorption desulfurization plant with an annual output of 2.4 million tons, a high-density polyethylene plant with an annual output of 350,000 tons, a fuel gas recovery facility, a pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation unit with an annual output of 400,000 tons, and a sulfur recovery unit.

Under the premise of ensuring safety and quality, more than 20,000 builders worked day and night during the best time for construction work in the summertime to meet the project's schedule. To date, 11 of the total 31 main units of the whole project, as well as 25 public works and auxiliary supporting projects have been completed.

As of Nov 30, the civil construction of the project has been basically completed, the steel structure and equipment installation are advancing rapidly, the process pipeline installation is in full swing, and, production preparations have been carried out in an orderly manner. Currently, over 90 percent of the work has been done and the construction has continued for 1,063 days.
