A group of well-known experts at home and abroad gathered in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province to hold a summit forum on precision medicine and ocean health, exploring the interaction between marine economy and modern medicine.

The 3rd Beibu Gulf Precision Medical and Translational Medicine Annual Conference and the 2019 Marine Health Industry Innovation and Development Summit were held in Zhanjiang on Dec 7, gathering famous experts and scholars, doctors, corporate leaders, as well as practitioners to discuss in depth the development frontiers and hotspots of precision medicine, translational medicine, marine biomedicine, and the big health industry.

Sponsored by Guangdong Medical University, the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University, the Guangdong Laboratory (Zhanjiang) of Marine Science and Engineering, the Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Association, and the Zhanjiang Medical Association, the summit aimed to build a high-end academic platform for Beibu Gulf to promote the development of the precision medicine and marine biomedical health industries.

To provide more effective support for the rapid growth of administrative departments, scientific research institutions, and enterprises at all levels, more than 20 government departments, universities, hospitals, scientific research institutions, and enterprises from the Beibu Gulf region jointly established an alliance of the innovative development of the Beibu Gulf marine health industry at the summit.

A total of 17 conference reports were also held at the summit, with more than 300 teachers, students, as well as medical staff from universities, hospitals, and research institutes in the Beibu Gulf region listening on site.
