Luodousha Island is a sand island formed during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), and has a history of about 400 years. The island is located between Qianshan town, Xuwen county and Wenchang, Hainan province. Covering a total area of 4.9 square kilometers, it is the largest uninhabited island in Zhanjiang with a length of eight kilometers and a maximum width of 1.5 kilometers. Natural scenery, lighthouses, and various sand-protecting vegetation plants attract many tourists. Among the most eye-catching are plants like saddle vines, sedge grasses, and thorns that grow on the beach and sand dunes. The island is also one of the major yellow croaker farms in Guangdong province. It is an ideal place to visit for nature lovers.
