A group of technology experts from Hong Kong and Macao led by Feng Riguang, vice president of the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology, visited Zhanjiang to tour the city's major industrial projects and conduct exchanges from Dec 13 to 15.

The experts and representatives from government departments and enterprises of Zhanjiang carried out in-depth discussions at a symposium held on Dec 14, exploring how Zhanjiang, Hong Kong, and Macao can conduct further exchanges and cooperation in industrial transformation and upgrading, corporate technological innovation, energy environmental protection, tourism development, as well as recruiting talents.

Feng said at the symposium that Zhanjiang should further strengthen connections with Hong Kong and Macao in science and technology, as well as establish long-term mechanisms for scientific and technological cooperation and resource sharing.

Ou Xianwei, deputy mayor of Zhanjiang, said that Zhanjiang will carry out project cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao in line with the city's economic characteristics, as well as strengthen exchanges with  the two special administrative regions in science and technology, economics, trade, culture, and talents.

During their visit to Zhanjiang, the experts visited the city's  major industrial projects, inspected the city's innovation and entrepreneurship platforms, as well as learned about its urban development plan.
