The industry investment promotion and resource matchmaking conference of Zhanjiang with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province on Dec 12, aiming to introduce a number of science and technology projects and enterprises, as well as promote the innovation of platforms, industries, and projects.

The conference attracted more than 40 high-tech companies from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and other cities of the Greater Bay Area, covering fields like smart manufacturing, new marine materials, and healthcare.

Zhanjiang's government departments attracted high-tech enterprises of the Greater Bay Area with favorable support policies at the conference. The Zhanjiang organization department detailed the talent policies, the Zhanjiang science and technology bureau explained the science and technology support policy, while the Zhanjiang investment promotion bureau introduced the investment environment and policies of the city. Enterprises also demonstrated their technology, project advantages, and external expansion needs through the conference.

The promotion conference has established a precise matchmaking platform for enterprises and industries in Shenzhen and Zhanjiang, created conditions for new growth engines to gather in Zhanjiang, as well as provided fresh ideas for the development of new and old industrial clusters.

With the construction and opening of major transportation infrastructure like the Jiangmen-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway, the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway, and the Shenzhen-Maoming Railway, Zhanjiang has been integrated into the three-hour economic circle of the Greater Bay Area. Zhanjiang and the whole west Guangdong area have provided rich resources for the Greater Bay Area, becoming an attractive place for industrial and technological extension.
