Zhanjiang Elderly Service Center (Zhanjiang Nursing Home) held its opening ceremony and first anniversary celebration of its trial operation on Dec 28 with leaders of the Zhanjiang civil affairs department, as well as the registered seniors and their relatives.

The center has been on trial operations since Jan 1, 2019. In the past year, the center has improved its management system, service quality, internal environment, as well as various facilities and equipment, creating a comfortable and high quality living environment for seniors. At present, there are more than 230 seniors in the center.

Covering an area of 70.29 mu (4.69 hectares), the center has an apartment with a total of 700 beds, as well as a dining hall that can accommodate 1,200 people eating at the same time. The center has also built a full range of public facilities, such as sports and entertainment halls, painting and calligraphy rooms, as well as chess and card rooms. In addition, the center is equipped with advanced medical rehabilitation and fitness equipment, while nursing services are provided by a professional nurse team.

A leader of the center said that the center will continue to improve its management and nursing skills, accelerate the development of medical care, as well as provide seniors with high-standard, professional, and meticulous care services to further enhance the quality of life of the residents.
