A large-scale documentary section team of China Central Television (CCTV) recently held a research forum in Leizhou, a famous historic city in Zhanjiang, in preparation for investigation and shooting of a presentation of the city scheduled for the sixth season of the program.

The documentary program was initiated by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the National Radio and Television Administration, and the National Cultural Heritage Administration. Its main subjects are historical and cultural cities and its main focus is Chinese traditional culture heritages. The length of the program is 30 minutes.

At the symposium, leaders of the Leizhou publicity department outlined the city's places of interest, history and culture, and cultural stories, and introduced its historical migration of ancestors, customs, cuisine, farming life and other characteristics. Some beautiful legends and character allusions of Leizhou were also brought forward to enrich the theme.

Leizhou helped CCTV in all aspects to produce a documentary that shows its charms, and the city expects to promote itself to the world through the publicity platform built by CCTV.
