The construction of the relocation project of Zhanjiang Airport has moved forward as planned, while making efforts to implement measures for the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus epidemic since worked resumed on it on Feb 14.
The project's construction headquarters had formulated specific plans and implementation rules for work resumption during the epidemic prevention and control period, especially detailed measures in basic necessities and production.
It has strengthened the epidemic monitoring, prevention, and control of employees, diet and environment management, as well as materials security. Daily information of employees is strictly reported and emergency response measures have been set up.
Strict reviews of epidemic prevention were conducted before work resumption, while ways to monitor information related to novel coronavirus prevention and control of workers were strengthened. In addition, required supplies, such as adequate protective masks, disinfectants, and infrared thermometers, were provided.
Closed management of the project construction area was implemented, while personnel information registration, temperature detection, regular disinfection of living places, and protective equipment preservation were standardized.
As of Feb 24, a total of 360 management and construction staff of the relocation project had returned to work.
The construction headquarters also noticed that as more companies resume work, as well as logistics and transportation return to normal, the supply of materials will soon be guaranteed and more workers will gradually return to their posts, which will more effectively promote the smooth construction of the new airport.
